"Sometimes being brave isn't all fighting and standing up to them. Sometimes it's just knowing and carrying on anyway."

One cottage, two families, four seasons, 7 years.

It's 1860, in the cold, lonely north of Sweden. Birgitta and her brother Bror arrive at their family's cottage in the 'church town' of Gammelstad, seeking refuge from the harsh climate of their family life. Between cold, dark winter days and sweet, bright summer times, Birgitta and Bror battle to forge their own identities.

A new, one-act, coming-of-age play, Gammelstad explores the power of chosen family and celebrates the unique strength of sibling bonds.
