The Camden Mela celebrates the richness of the British South Asian Culture and promotes community cohesion and celebrates diversity. It's a fantastic community festival organised by a committee including local residents, councillors, voluntary sector organisations, statutory sector partners and local business partners.

There'll be over 50 stalls selling food, clothes, handicrafts, books and more. There will be stalls where you can find out about local organisations and charities.

The Camden Mela will again be working with local mosques and churches to promote localism, local values and community cohesion.

There'll be:

  • A health and well-being activity marquee with information on staying healthy, smoking cessation, healthy eating, fitness and alternative therapy.

  • A stage focusing on traditional Bangladeshi music, dance and performances from local young people and artists.

  • Opportunities for young people to showcase their talents and artistic skills.

There will be a focus on celebrating South Asian Heritage Month and strengthening community cohesion.
