Join us for an afternoon exploring Keats's spooky side.

The year turns and the nights draw in, which makes this the perfect moment to join poets Julia Bird and Mike Sims for a social afternoon of readings and conversation exploring the shadowy side of Keats's work. Expect the Gothic thrills of 'La Belle Dame Sans Merci', the ghostly visions of 'Isabella, or The Pot of Basil' and a summoning of the witches and elves which lurk in the corners of his poems.

Julia and Mike's book 'A Joy Forever: A Walk out with John Keats' (Paekakiriki Press, 2022) is available online and from the Keats House shop.

We will also be serving tea and cake - please do let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
