How do you pack a life into 23 kilograms? One item at a time.

Transit is an evocative, genre-bending exploration of migration and what it means to find a place to call home. Told through a series of vignettes utilising physical theatre, poetry, dance, multimedia, practical lights and live music, Transit follows a cast of contemporary migrants as they navigate the feeling of being ‘too foreign for here, too foreign for home.

’ From competitions on who can be ‘the most Asian’ to the endless cycle of unpacking and repacking to questions of when you can stop being considered ‘a foreigner,’ the show explores identity and belonging through a series of vignettes based on real stories. At its heart, Transit is a deeply human piece that showcases how we live ‘in between’ where we’ve come from and where we are going.
