A young man arrives in London and stays the night with his estranged father.

In his cluttered flat, small talk turns into awkward humour, then into questions that have been avoided for a lifetime. As father and son attempt to reconnect, an offhand remark opens a door to a family secret that neither of them is prepared to face.

What begins as a tentative reunion becomes a late night reckoning about absence, blame, memory and the stories families choose to tell themselves in order to survive. As the truth emerges, both men are forced to confront how grief shapes identity, how silence passes from one generation to the next, and whether understanding can come too late.

Set in real time and driven by sharp, naturalistic dialogue, this two hander explores masculinity, parenthood and loss with dark humour and emotional honesty. A play about the weight of the past, the fragility of ordinary moments, and the difficult work of becoming a family again.
