Spirit of South Asia: celebrating the Bangladeshi Community in Camden

Artwork by Trapped in Zone One

Curator Bablu Miah from arts organisation Trapped in Zone One has been working with Camden's Bangladeshi community for the past two years. Through creative workshops Bablu heard stories from people who shared their experiences of living in the borough and their deep connection to Camden.

The community shared stories of their cultural heritage and the importance of sharing food, family, language and kindness. Their creative conversations inspired these artworks, by London-based artist Limma Ali, that celebrate the spirit of Camden's Bangladeshi community.
