Nearly four decades after the Lancelot Ribeiro's landmark 1987 retrospective held in Swiss Cottage Library, Marsha Ribeiro will be talking about her father's work and legacy in conjunction with the exhibition Lancelot Ribeiro: A Retrospective Revisited.
Guiding audiences through the paintings, photographs, letters and personal objects on display, Marsha will share the story behind her father’s evocative artistic and personal journey - from his early life in India to his experiences as a poet-painter in Britain, exploring themes of migration, modernism, memory and belonging across cultures.
Presented as part of Camden's South Asian Heritage Month programme.
Drinks will be available from 6pm on Wednesday 8th July. The illustrated talk will begin at 6.30
