Throughout February The Garden Cinema is celebrating LGBT+ History Month!

Opening with British coming-out 90s drama 'Beautiful Thing' (1996), followed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s exquisite dark comedy, 'Fox and His Friends' (1975).

They'll also be bringing back the groundbreaking independent lesbian love story, 'Desert Hearts' (1985), and Park Chan-wook's sensual 'The Handmaiden' (2016).

They are also excited to partner with various cultural institutions, Instituto Cervantes and The Spanish Researchers Association in the UK will present a screening of 'Diosa (Goddess)', which centres on Catalan queer icon Joan/Marina, while Radical Performers Re-Imagine Athens will present 'Avant-Drag!', an exhilarating look at ten Athenian drag performers.
