Join Lauderdale House for a night exploring the music of two jazz giants, with acclaimed trombonist and vocalist Malcolm Earle Smith and an all-star band.

The compositions of Charles Mingus and Thelonious Monk has inspired generations — from Elvis Costello to Jon Hendricks’ clever takes on Monk’s genius. Now, acclaimed trombonist, vocalist, and "new King of Scat" (The Guardian) Malcolm Earle Smith leads a distinguished band from the UK jazz scene in a vibrant tribute to these two jazz trailblazers.

Expect bold tunes, sharp lyricism, and heartfelt storytelling — blending humour, groove, and the spirit of rebellion that defines their music.
