Eighteenth-century London's sordid and brutal sex industry is dramatically brought to life in this immersive, theatrical walking tour. Allow your guide, ‘The Baroness’, to transport you back to the steamy underworld of the Georgian sex worker in 1700’s Covent Garden, in this tour by Herstorical Tours.

Starting at Covent Garden station, you will venture through the famed ‘Square of Venus’ and down the atmospheric backstreets of Charing Cross before finishing in an ancient tavern for a tot of ‘Mother’s Ruin’. Along the way you’ll encounter high-class courtesans and women working the streets, business-savvy brothel Madams and country girls in over their heads. Through street theatre and character comedy, you’ll hear the stories of the women that weren’t often given a voice, in a trade that existed to serve men.

This tour will last approximately 2 hours and will require both walking and standing. The ticket includes the tour and free entry into the Foundling Museum, but the Museum will not feature as part of the tour; you may visit the Museum earlier in the day.

This walking tour is for over 18s.
