Round three recipients announced
We're excited to announce the third round of recipients for the Cultural Learning and Education Support Fund - an initiative dedicated to enriching the lives of children and young people through access to arts and culture.
This round, over £90,000 has been awarded to local organisations with a strong history of delivering impactful outreach in Camden’s schools and communities.
The funded projects include a vibrant mix of creative workshops and programmes in dance, music, art, theatre and performance - all designed to inspire and engage young minds.
Through this fund, we’re helping to ensure that more children and young people across the borough can experience the transformative power of culture - free of charge.
Our fantastic 2025 Awardees:
Akademi for Reach Out and Reveal, £16,565
Reach Out and Reveal (ROaR) has delivered impactful South Asian dance and movement sessions in Special Educational Needs & Disabilities settings since 2018. ROaR aims to enhance the creativity and self-expression of young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, enable enriched social interactions, and support core emotional development. Following a successful pilot at Netley Primary School in Camden, this grant will fund three more terms of 34-day interventions for up to 25 pupils daily over summer 2025, with detailed data collection to ensure sustained benefits.
Charles Dickens Museum for Trash and Treasure at #48 Doughty St: social reform and zine making for 17-22 year olds, £5,683
Delivery of a series of four 'zine-making' workshops for Young People aged 17-22 living and studying in Camden, exploring Dickens’s legacy as a social reformer and journalist. Facilitated by the Cut Out Club team and taking place at the Charles Dickens Museum. Participants will develop new creative skills through making within the museum setting, increased confidence to access culture, improved wellbeing and access to networks to progress jobs in the arts.
HvH ARTS for Cultivating Careers in Creativity, £13,200
‘Cultivating Careers In Creativity’ is a project building on HvH ARTS' mission to offer young people careers in the arts teaching creative arts and media, led by CEO Debbi Clark, alongside professional tutors, creatives and mentors. This project will support 20 young people giving highly skilled workshops, visits to exhibitions, music venues, talks and visits with leading creative companies that support their career path. Starting May 2025 to October 2025 at HvH ARTS Media and Art Centres in Camden.
icandance for Inclusive Dance Boys Group, £9,478
An inclusive dance group from disabled and non-disabled boys from icandance and Acland Burghley School. Together they will challenge social norms, firstly by boys dancing and secondly by bringing boys with varying abilities together to overcome their differences and create a dance piece. This will then be shared through performances and workshops in Primary schools and various festivals in Camden and London. Alongside producing resources and media to support ongoing learning and sharing.
The London Irish Centre for From Home to Home - 70 Years, £9,700
This workshop in Autumn 2025 explores themes of Home, Travel, and Migration in Camden. Working with leading facilitators in the UK, Key Stage 2 students will create migration stories, craft shadow puppets, and compose music, culminating in a shared performance. Rooted in Irish art forms but celebrating diverse migration, the project fosters cultural awareness, compassion, and self-identity. Delivered in four Camden primary schools, it encourages creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity, with interactive resources for teachers to extend learning and support different learning styles.
The Roundhouse Trust for Centre59: Pathways into Theatre for Camden's Young People, £6,000
Centre 59 is an accessible entry point for young people to the artform of theatre and storytelling in the performing arts. A partnership from Roundhouse and Academy Award-winner Daniel Kaluuya’s 59% Productions, taster workshops will visit schools and community groups across June and July, supported by Camden Cultural Education and Learning Support Fund. Sessions will focus on creative exploration, and signpost young people to further opportunities to get involved with Centre 59 over the summer.
Sankofa Storytelling Arts for Sankofa Arts Lab: Empowering Young Voices through Creative Expression, £16,330.00
Sankofa Arts Lab is a multi-estate arts programme engaging young people from Camden in creative expression, meaningful storytelling and civic participation. Through the Estate of Mind Anthology and Holiday Schools strands, young people explore & celebrate their innate skills, agency and aspirations via drama, expressive and visual arts. The project emphasises inclusivity and cultural pride; incorporating Camden’s 60th amalgamation anniversary and Windrush Day legacies in collaboration with TRA's, locally trained Assistant Facilitators and professional artists.
A Space for us People’s Museum for Youth Collective, £5,500
An enrichment project to gain real world skills in teamwork, via forming a research group involved in highly-structured, real-world projects themed around health, heat and housing. Young participants will experience a real project in a small community museum context with experienced professionals, including academic research training, digital design, interview and publishing skills.
The Apex Project for The Blueprint, £8,266
The Blueprint is an Artist Development Programme, a 12-week music course for young people aged 13–18 from underrepresented backgrounds in Camden. Running every Sunday from 1 June to 17 August 2025, the programme offers hands on training in music production, songwriting, branding, performance, and industry knowledge. Participants will develop original work, receive mentorship from professionals, and showcase their talent at a public event, gaining real world experience and pathways into the creative industries.
Wac Arts for Listen Up!, £9,484
Wac Arts will deliver a spoken word project in partnership with Camden primary schools, commencing Autumn 2025. Young participants will develop creative writing, spoken word, and performance skills, exploring the theme of heritage, culture and identity, showcasing their work collaboratively at Wac Arts.
