New parking permit system
Please find below answers to common issues raised.
After considering customer feedback and requests to be able to book short stay permits in advance, we can now confirm this facility is available. You can now purchase a short stay visitor permit ahead of the arrival time. You are also able to book ‘all day’ permits up to 20 days in advance of when you need to use them.
There has been no change to the 4-hour maximum stay for short stay visitor permits. The old system may have allowed you to book more than 4 hours, but this was due to a fault in that system that we were not aware of. It has always been the case that the maximum stay for this type of permit is 4 hours. Please see the terms and conditions for parking permits for further information.
Once you have logged into your new parking account and verified your details, the account information from the old system will migrate to the new one. This means your existing credit balance and any visitor permits you have purchased should show on your account. If you encounter any problems with your account or if your account does not show your correct credit balance, please call Contact Camden on 020 7974 4444.
Any scratch cards that you bought previously can still be used but please note that all our visitor permit products are non-refundable. We no longer offer scratch cards to new customers. This has been in place for a number of years, therefore we have not built an ordering system into the new permit system.
If you previously had a scratch card account, these are still available and can be ordered by calling 020 7974 4444 or emailing email@example.com. Our sincere apologies if this has caused any confusion.
We are looking to add the functionality to store frequently used registration numbers in the coming weeks.
You are allowed to have up to three vehicles on your resident permit, however you can only park one of them on-street at any one time during controlled hours. Therefore, you need to activate the vehicle you want to park. If you wish to change this, you will need to go into the system and change your active vehicle to a different one. This policy has not changed and the process is the same as the previous system.
If your vehicle is oversized, you will not be able to purchase a permit. You will only be able to obtain a permit if the vehicle adheres to the size restrictions. Please see the terms and conditions for parking permits
For resident permits, you will only need to upload evidence when you renew (usually once a year) or if you change your address/vehicle. You will be asked to evidence your address, vehicle ownership and any eligibility for discounts.
For visitor permits, you may also be asked to upload evidence of your address in Camden and this could be once a year.
When you log in to the new permit system for the first time you will be asked to verify your Camden address.
In the Postcode field please enter your full post code.
In the Flat/House/Building number field please only enter your flat/door number. Please do not enter your building or road name as this will result in the system not finding your address.

The new permit system has been designed to allow us to make amendments and changes as needed. We are taking on board all the feedback provided to us by residents and will look to continuously improve the permit product over the coming weeks and months.
