Kentish Town library is open for customers to browse and choose their own books, visit the children's library, and use our public computers and our study spaces.

You don’t need to book a computer in advance, PCs are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Access is limited to four hours per day. You can also scan, print and photocopy documents. View the Acceptable Use of Public Computers policy (PDF).

You can return any outstanding books, DVDs or CDs on loan within the opening hours, or after hours through our book drop box.

We also offer a range of activities for our library users, see: What's on this month. Look forward to January 2024 as we transform the library into a fantastical realm with our fantasy exhibition, in partnership with the British Library. Get creative and enter our fantasy and poetry drawing competition. You could win a £25 book token and see your drawing or poem printed on our library bookmarks.

The library has a number of measures in place to keep customers and staff safe.

Did you know you can borrow household, gardening or DIY appliances from the The Library of Things rather than buying new. If you are only going to use a particular tool or device once, this is a green way to complete your task. Access is between 10am and 12 noon. You will need to join the library to use the service.
