The Annual Canvass of Electors

The annual canvass begins at the end of August, Household Enquiry Forms (HEF) will be sent to ALL residential households from 21 August 2022, arriving on door mats a few days later (via the postman) and ends on 23 November 2022.

Anyone registering to vote during that time will not go onto the Electoral Register until 1st December when we published the Revised Register – this is a statutory date.

The HEF form lists the electors we currently have – as of 1st August, on the Electoral Register. The purpose of the form is to check those electors are still living at the property, find out if electors have moved in or moved out, make changes to names.

THE HEF FORM IS NOT A REGISTRATION FORM (see below for registering to vote)

For further information on completing the form, making changes or removing someone click here:  Household Enquiry Form

The open register

The open register is an extract of the electoral register, but is not used for elections.

It can be bought by any person, company or organisation. For example, companies and charities use it to confirm names and addresses.

You can opt out of the open register when you register to vote. If you are on the open register and wish to have your name removed, you can:
