Regent’s Roots Festival featuring Akademi

From 12pm-6pm, experience South Asian culture at the Regent's Roots Festival, a captivating block party festival co-produced by Old Diorama Arts Centre, Fitzrovia Youth in Action, and Camden Council. Come by for a free lunch, production and craft workshops, and many interactive performances.
Immerse yourself in a lively celebration featuring a diverse line-up of artists, with a special emphasis on the mesmerizing art of South Asian dance. The highlight of the festival includes two enchanting performances of Akademi's acclaimed production, "Pravaas," scheduled at 12pm and 3pm on the vibrant Drummond Street.
At 2:40pm and 4:35pm, make sure to catch "Through Our Eyes," a new performance developed by the Old Diorama Arts Centre with local children. The performance shares personal histories across generations from South Asian countries, through storytelling, poetry, dance and music. Collaborators include musician Prathap Ramachandra, choreography from Beeja – Anusha Subramanyam Dance Company, and audio artist Lucia Scazzochio.
And from 6pm, hop over to the Drummond Street Spice Sundowner, featuring dishes from 15 local restaurants.
