1. Camden Fringe


We’ve all heard of the Edinburgh Fringe but did you know Camden has its own fringe festival? It takes place in August each year and can include anything from stand-up and improv to robots and sock puppets! Established in 2006, The Camden Fringe aims to give anyone the chance to perform and showcase their talents, from very experienced performers and companies, to ambitious newcomers. So it’s a great way to check out some fresh talent and discover something new!

2. Museum of Comedy

Founded by Leicester Square Theatre director Martin Witts, the Museum of Comedy hosts all kinds of comedy performance in the intimate ‘Cooper Room’ from theatre and stand up to silent film. It’s a great place to see comedy with a drink in a relaxed setting. And of course don’t forget to check out one of the most comprehensive collections of comedy memorabilia ever to be amassed in one place.

3. Camden Comedy Club at the Camden Head

Credited as being one of London's Top 20 Comedy Clubs (Time Out), the Camden Comedy Club takes place above the Camden Head pub in Camden Town. Gigs range right from alternative comedy to TV headliners including Russell Howard, Sara Pascoe and Alan Carr. And the best part of it, surprisingly, is the price! You can see top class comedy for just £10 as well as many events being free or pay what you can.

4. The Comedy Loft

The Comedy Loft doesn’t take itself too seriously and is a great spot for some tasty food, delicious cocktails and some hilarious comedy. With comedy taking place on Friday and Saturday nights you’ll get four great acts as part of your ticket, and the best part, you can even pre-order your food and drink so no waiting at the bar!

5. Angel Comedy club

Here you can see comedy at the Camden Head or the Bill Murray seven nights a week for FREE. Angel Comedy Club is all about helping comedians on their journey and bringing great comedy to our community for free. Feeling inspired? 6. Monkey Business Comedy Club Camden

With previous performances from the likes of Russell Howard, Harry Hill and Stephen Merchant, you’re bound to happen upon a good night at one of the monkey business venues in Camden. Acts include newbies cutting their teeth and top acts trying out their new stuff. Ticket prices range from £5 to £17.50 and you can grab a bite to eat before the show in both joints.

7. Downstairs at the King's Head

Downstairs at the King’s Head is one of the oldest Comedy Clubs in Britain! With a different show on every night of the week (including spoken word, magic and comedy) there’s bound to be something to get you thigh slapping. With a capacity of 100 people it’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for a friendly and intimate environment.

8. The Good Ship

The Goodship

The Good Ship is a grassroots music venue, bar, nightclub and comedy venue all rolled into one! Featuring a different line up each week, this award-winning venue brings the best in stand up to Kilburn every Monday evening. 9. The Tricycle Theatre

The Tricyle theatre in Kilburn doesn’t just show brilliant theatre and cinema but also has a great international comedy season: ‘Upfront Comedy’. Taking place every Sunday you’ll see three acts for your ticket – with full price tickets at £15 (concessions available).

10. Camden People’s Theatre

This intimate venue is located in what was once the Palmerston pub on Hampstead Road and has been making great theatre since 1994. The venue hosts some challenging comedy theatre where no subject is out of bounds!
