Walking in to this store is like stepping into a Parisian boudoir - it just oozes girly, dreamy prettiness. New pieces of the collection arrive in from Paris, Milan and Tokyo every fortnight, so it is no surprise they are still serving local fashionistas 17 years on.

Over-priced boutique selling sub-standard items at twice the price that they are available to the public elsewhere…case in point: a 'Diva Catwalk' dress priced at £65 to the public elsewhere but sold in Penguin with a price tag of £125...now I understand mark ups - but who wants to pay twice what an item is worth? - oh but they do give you a hanger (presumably compensation for your additional £60???). I did attempt to return this item, not because of the price (which had naturally upset me), but because it was not suitable for the occasion I had purchased it for and more importantly because, on getting it home and looking at it properly, I noticed that the hem is coming down and stitches are loose throughout the garment. Also, you need to be aware that if you do need to return anything, their opening hours vary at their convenience – it took me two attempts. I was then offered a credit note at the same time as being told the business is due to be sold within 4 weeks! - not much use then??? My advice based on my experience of this boutique is look, but don't buy from here... . At the very least, check out the price of any of their items elsewhere before you commit to buy from here, they do not do refunds.
