Deeds Not Words: The Endell Street Military Hospital

An historical exhibition by Digital Drama
With additional material from Camden Local Studies & Archives Centre

Set up by the physician, Flora Murray, and the surgeon, Louisa Garrett Anderson, both suffragettes, the Endell Street Military Hospital in Holborn was the only British army hospital run entirely by women, treating over 26,000 patients during the First World War.
