BARDO,the journey between "Death and Birth", is a Tibetan word meaning an intermediate state and particularly refers to the time between death and rebirth. The concept of Bardo was introduced by Shakyamuni Buddha, when he taught the secret mantra, 2500 years ago.
The teaching of this course, unlike traditional works on the subject, avoids the detailed descriptions of the successive deities of the Bardo. Instead it deals with more accessible accounts of Bardo experiences.
