There’s a story behind every product, wherever in the world it comes from. This farmers’ market is a chance for shoppers to meet directly with producers from Ghana, Malawi, Palestine and beyond and reps from a diverse range of Fairtrade suppliers.
It’s a chance to learn more about the huge range of Fairtrade products now on the market, to discover the farming processes behind the products adorning our shelves, and to hear first-hand what life is like in these fascinating parts of the world.
Stallholders include Zaytoun, Liberation Nuts, Buna Oromia Coffee and Tropical Wholefoods, with many more to be confirmed.

For one night only, the shelves of The People’s Supermarket will be pushed aside and a pop-up restaurant will be created. A three-course feast, prepared by the chefs of The People's Kitchen, will be served up using an impressive range of Fairtrade ingredients. Wine, beer and freshly-squeezed juices will also be served. This is a one-off chance to dine in the surreal but elegant setting of a supermarket.
Tickets are £25 (or £20 for members of The People's Supermarket) and must be booked in advance. Visit www.thepeoplessupermarket.org or phone the box office on 07910 459 451 to book tickets. A valid membership card must be presented at the door to take advantage of the lower price band.

Cofee is the most valuable trading commodity after oil, worth some $80 billion, yet the wages of coffee farmers are so low that many struggle to survive. This film follows Tadesse Meskela, a man on a mission, as he travels the world to find a fair price for the coffee produced by his union of 74,000 struggling workers. This is the film that changed how Starbucks trade.
Entry to this screening is free but there is a suggested donation of £3. Entry operates on a first-come-first-served basis.

Twelfth Night returns to the London Fringe scene with a Swivel Theatre Production. After the astounding success of Othello last year, Swivel are back and the twist is even bigger...
This production sets the country of Illyria in 1920s Morocco, giving a whole new resonance to the play. Viola washes ashore a country where a woman must dress as a man in order to work and to earn money. Set in the searing heat of North Africa, where men and women’s roles in society are very strictly defined, this comedy of errors will be presented in a whole new context. We will explore questions of
gender identity and sexual ambiguity in a rich and vibrant cultural setting.
Swivel’s unique interpretation will be a feast of live music, traditional dance and raucous laughter.

Shutterland: a landscape of recorded voices and lost stories.
When a secret is discovered, it reveals a hidden past. Through a strange and unexpected turn of events, one man finds himself running from the system he spent his life serving. Surveillance agents prowl the streets. Every move is monitored. Every sound is recorded. This is Shutterland, where futures are decided and pasts are forgotten.
With a blend of absurdist humour and innovative physical theatre, Lecoq-trained Rhum and Clay present their Edinburgh smash hit.
