Stellaria 'Science with Art' workshops: 'Fractals everywhere'.
The Stellaria 'Science with Art' workshops for young talents are innovative international award-winning interdisciplinary thematic sessions, carefully designed, delivered and supervised by a small team of highly trained, experienced and dedicated teachers, supported by child development psychologists to ensure all activities and contents are specifically aimed at exploring and enhancing the scientific and creative learning path of each young person in specific, at their own pace, and beyond the limits the standard educational system can offer.
This specific series, in partnership with the Fractal Foundation, uses the mathematical concept of "Fractals" to stimulate interdisciplinary learning and creativity through a series of hands-on activities.
Each session will usually run for 30 minutes to 1 hour for the younger cohorts (4 to 6 years old), and one hour or longer for older cohorts (7-9 and 10-12 years old), but any young participant can stay as long as they feel they are enjoying the activities and want to stay. Parents are free to drop in, subject to space and H&S capacity limits in the room.
Ideally, the young participants will regularly attend the workshops so that they are exposed to a diversity of topics which will enhance their learning curve and stimulate their curiosity and eagerness to research and learn further, at their own pace, no pressure.
As part of our social business ethos, a percentage of the fees will be set aside in view of investing in supporting further educative opportunities for local young talented persons from low financial background (subject to conditions).
