Your mother is right when she says breakfast is the most important meal of the day. As our mums weren't on hand to ask, we turned to you, dear Love Camden-ites, to suggest your favourite places for morning nosh.
We thought this would be a good time to remind you of these great spots in case you're feeling a bit peckish after watching the torch relay come through Camden on 26 July 2012.
Whether you're on the run or dining in, after a full English or a vegetarian affair, you're sure to find a breakfast to suit your taste buds and wallet.
Thanks you for everyone's suggestions. If you don't see your top spot listed, let us know by commenting on this post (if you're willing to share that is!)
Camden Bar and Kitchen
Recommended by @PhotoSonny "best poached eggs ever...great English breakfast"
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the high street, make a bee-line for the Camden Bar and Kitchen.
Breakfast is served 10am to 5pm and includes the usual suspects: croissants, bagels, granola, yoghurt along with yummy omelettes, then there's the all day kitchen breakfast or vegetarian breakfasts served to 5pm for the later breakfast eater. Affordable dining and relaxed atmosphere.

Made in Camden
Recommended by @aramass highly recommends the mushrooms and ricotta on toast!
Located in front of the iconic Roundhouse, Made in Camden is a relative new comer to the borough's ever growing list of eateries.
These guys offer a varied weekend brunch menu including grilled banana and chocolate bread with whipped butter (I know, how good does that sound?!), or for the meat eater there's the seared onglet open steak sandwich with horseradish cream and shallot jam - or you could just kick back with a trusty fry up or pastry and coffee. I can't stop thinking about the chocolate bread?...
Made in Camden is open from 9.30am daily except Mondays when they take a break and the restaurant is closed – but don’t worry they’re still open from 9.30am to 6pm for drinks, pastries and savoury snacks. Check opening hours before booking as they vary according to events.

The Blues Kitchen
Recommended by @valmetcalf "American pancakes and milkshake at the Blues Kitchen. Definitely".
Open from 11am on weekends, the weekend brunch menu sounds pretty damn tasty. There's the full English option and American breakfasts (think pancakes, eggs, smoked bacon, BBQ beans and hash browns), along with a veggie breakfast, humble French toast and a burger for those willing to lean more toward the 'unch' in brunch.

Camino
Recommended by @michael_hallett "Camino in King's Cross does a fabulous Spanish breakfast"
The creators of Camino (Spanish for road, way or path) love travelling around their home country to discover the best local food and drinks and then kindly bring them to old Blighty for us to savour.
Their flavoursome breakfasts are served every day from 9am to 11.30 (not bank holidays) with highlights including the Heuvos Con Chistorra O Beicon (pan-fried eggs in olive oil with Spanish sausage or bacon and toast) and the Spanish classic Tortilla De Patatas (yep, potato omelette with free range eggs).
They also serve up a killer brunch on the weekends with full veggie and meat lovers Spanish breakfasts. They cater in smaller servings for the kids too. Nice.

Albertini
As recommended by @KXLDN - thanks!
If it's great quality coffee and service with a smile that you're after, head to this large family run Italian café on Chalton Street. Along with a good cup of Joe you can get yourself a cooked brekkie, jacket potato or paninis and better still it's open from 6.30am if you're in need of an early feed.

The Brew House
Recommended by @Falcon1138 "Brewhouse restaurant up at Kenwood House?stonking good for weekend brekkie blowout".
Set in acres of lush parklands of Hampstead Heath, Kenwood House is a stunning setting for a decadent breakfast. Also not a bad view of our fine capital.
Open daily from 9am, the Brew House calls what was once the servant's wing of Kenwood House, home. Their breakfasts attract a dedicated following with everything on offer from the healthy option of yoghurt and fresh seasonal fruit to a high quality traditional full English made with the finest of ingredients.
There's also the Steward's Room nearby with a drool worthy range of cakes baked on the premises, including three chocolate brownies. You can also choose from a wide range of Fairtrade organic teas, Union Hand Roasted coffee and freshly pressed fruit juices.

Valtaro Snack Bar
Recommended by @just3morethings thinks "Caltaro on Marchmont Street does the best breakfast in Bloomsbury"
Only one way to find out if @just3morethings is onto something with this cute eatery. Old school décor and charm and a traditional breakfast menu with very reasonable prices make it a sure winner for the students and office workers in the area.

Kentish Town Canteen
@Lottelow brought this one to our attention - check it out for yourself
Serving brunch weekdays from 10 and from 9am at weekends, this local haven offers a full Kentish breakfast, eggs in all styles, omelettes and granola with thick yoghurt. Gluten-free, dairy free and children are all willingly catered for, all you have to do is ask and if you have a troupe of six or more, it's recommended that you book in advance for Saturday and Sunday.

Lord Stanley Pub
@VikkiRossWrites thinks this boozer is worth a shot for its brekkie.
Lord Stanley's crew cook up breakfast 10-12 noon on weekends and the menu is plentiful. Drinks include smoothies, virgin and bloody Mary's and my personal favourite, prosecco and fresh orange juice, along with a wide range of coffee and herbal teas.
Food wise we're talking full English, full vegetarian and eggs aplenty. Yum yum indeed.
