Art for your ears at St Pancras station

Putting on a pair of headphones at St Pancras station you’d expect the usual barrage of French and English travel announcements to stop. But what if those announcements were replaced by voices? Voices which said things you might not want to hear.

Head to the lower concourse of the station between M&S and Le Pain Quotidien from now until 23 October and experience the new sound work by award-winning poet and novelist Lavinia Greenlaw.

'The initial idea was an aural version of the camera obscura, which gave the work its name of Audio Obscura. The idea is to discover, somewhere between what is heard and what is seen, what cannot be said,’ Greenlaw said.

A feast for your ears, the event is free, no bookings are required and takes about 30 minutes. Open every day from noon to 8pm, for more details check out: artangel.org.uk/audioobscura
