  • Camden’s media team is offering four different media tours aimed specifically at journalists to help you get the most out of the exciting attractions that are available across our borough not just during Games time, but throughout the year.

    Creative Camden
    11 July, 5-7.30pm
    Visiting Cob Gallery, Koko, Camden Stables and Proud Gallery, as well as the Roundhouse, this tour celebrates Camden as the birthplace of alternative music. Find out more.

    Museum mile
    17 July 9.30am-noon
    Showcasing Camden’s world-famous museums, enjoy the delights of the Foundling museum, Petrie museum, Sir John Soane’s museum and the big one – the British museum. Find out more.

    Where old meets new
    10 July, 9.30am-noon
    Camden is changing at a rapid rate with new developments regenerating former industrial areas. Kentish Town baths, University of the Arts, the German Gymnasium visitor centre, King’s Cross development and the Renaissance hotel all feature on this walk where old meets new. Find out more.

    Hampstead and Highgate
    12 July, 10am-1pm
    Ever wanted to visit the burial ground of Karl Marx, or where Keat’s wrote ‘Ode to a nightingale’? This tour will see you visit Highgate cemetery, Highgate village, Freud museum, Keats' house, Hampstead Heath and Hampstead village. Find out more.

    Each tour is limited to a maximum of 15 people therefore we advise booking early to avoid disappointment.
